Community Service Club Schedule

 

1st Tuesday: Valley VNA Senior home 3:15-5:00pm-Pickup from school

We play cards, put together puzzles, work on crafts or play bingo with the residents at the valley VNA. This facility is set-up for elderly people that are sometimes suffering from dementia , alhztimers disease, or simply cannot function on their own.

 

2nd Tuesday: Harbor House Shelter 3:15-6:00 pm-Pickup from school

We help kids with homework, do arts and crafts, cleaning projects or other miscellaneous things that are set up by the volunteer coordinator. This facility is a shelter set- up for mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence.

 

4th Thursday: The ARC Coolidge Kids Club 3:15-5:15pm-Pickup from school

We travel to Coolidge elementary and help with an afterschool program that is organized by the ARC.  We help with crafts, projects and activities in the gym with kids with minor disabilities.

 

3rd or 4th Tuesday (depending on what week the ARC falls on) : Habitat Restore 3:15-6:00pm-Pickup from school

We clean, organize, price items, unload trucks, and help with any current project at the store.  The Habitat Restore is an organization that sells used items that you would use to perhaps build, repair or remodel a home. Most of its proceeds go towards funding the Habitat for Humanity Project.

3rd or 4th Tuesday (depending on what week the ARC falls on) : Emergency Shelter of the Fox Cities:  We clean childcare rooms, furniture, and other areas. We will also assist mothers with their children’s trays and food during dinner time. The Emergency Shelter of the Fox Cities is located in Appleton and assists people in the community in their time of need with shelter, food, and resources.
